Jegs Mail order
#26
I had the same issue with my grille, they said it was on backorder for 6 weeks.
And then suddenly i got it in the mail. Apparently they called the company who makes them, which happened to be closer. And paid extra to have it made and sent to me, at no additional cost to me!
turned out good, that was carraige works though. Still took alittle over 3 weeks.

lol. I just came across this thread...
This has been a long wait! I would have canceled already, I have no patience. When I decide to buy something I want it yesterday. The worst is ordering something online on Friday and then watching the tracking number for days and it doesn't ship out until the middle of next week. Buy the time you finally get it you don't even care!
Do you have the exhaust yet?

Well what's the story?
I bought a used bakflip G2 bed cover for the F150 from someone in Lexington yesterday. Turns out he is a regional sales manager for MBRP exhaust. They're making a new line of exhaust and he's trying a few of them on his F150 so I may get a good deal on his when it comes off. Everything on his truck is spotless since he takes it to tradeshows and stuff. He's got an extra aem intake laying around too I may get for cheap!

Not Fair! lol
I love it. Sounds great. not too loud, not too quiet. Just right. Has a great rumble to it. The tip is freaking huge, but I knew that to begin with.
It was super easy to modify it to make it to work, just didnt have any stainless steel wire but I got some to reweld the hanger on. Then I tack welded the few joints to just make sure it wouldnt twist.

I think the mbrp will be louder than I really want, but it sounds good, time will tell I suppose. I'm all about cheap at the moment since I had an extra $700 worth of bills this month and I didn't get much $$$ help from the wife this month either. Grr... Need to get our taxes rolling.

Only a month left!
I have not heard the MBRP.
My only complaint about the Banks is the drone in the cab, I wasnt expecting much if any at all. But there is some. I have not had it up to Interstate speeds yet but I'm afraid it might be a bit too loud. Which seems odd for me because my ranger is crazy loud, but I guess for a DD I like it to be nice.
I hope to see some better MPG, anything should help it. It just doesnt get that good.

I like quiet too, sometimes. I was amazed how quiet it was when it was stock. I guess I already started to give that up a little since I bought M/T's though!
FYI, if you think it drones you should ride in my Jetta VR6 with the magnaflow catback in it. It sounds GREAT but it sucks after a while on the highway. It's a six speed but they are super close gears, and the engine revs pretty high at freeway speed. My wife says she doesn't notice it anymore so whatever, but I'm glad she drove it from Oregon instead of me.

Yeah the Banks tip comes already welded on, which is why I liked it over the other kits with built in clamps on the tip. I just thought it looked tacky, one down side is you cant move the tip any different! lol
After driving it some more it seems to be either quieting down or I am getting used to it. I really like it more now. The drone isnt as bad as it was at first.
I would get a sound clip or a pic but I need a camera! Mine is junk.
