Kinda an old redneck trick! That and marvel's mystery oil. I also use Seafoam to fog engines for extended storage.

Seafoam kicks ***!

I love the smoke.. its so funny to drive around puffing white smoke.

Seafoam is not a snake oil like the others. But to be fair, plain water would also work for cleaning the carbon off, but Seafoam has many many other uses than just carbon in the cylander.

So yea, Seafoam rocks!

Yeah. I love that movie. I have a thing for TV and movie cars. My user name comes from the Dukes of Hazzard and I have a General Lee I am building. I want to build a Christine too, but those are rediculously expensive cause they are so rare, I also want a Smokey and the Bandit T/A too. Thatcar (Christine) just looks so evil on fire I thought it was perfect for my Avatar.

Any time is OK to start, its really just a fuel system cleaner. I use it about 500 miles before each oil change.

I can't imagine puting it in the tank would help at all! That stuff has to enter the combustion chamber as a mist or vapor. Once you add it to the tank it just screws up your gas! It's just not the same as misting it into the intake flow.

So fuel doesn't enter as a mist? Please enlighten me.

Much more fun to feed it through a vacuum line. Does a great job to decarbon the engine. Really is a hoot to drive around with that thick white smoke belching out. Looks like you're fogging for mosquitos. I do it when the gas tank is half empty. I put half in through the vac, and then dump the other half into the gas tank.

yes but you need the seafoam to break the crabon loose.
I have been using this stuff for a few years on all my vehicles here is the best way

buy 2 cans, put and entire can into the gas tank, 1/3 of the other intop the break booster line, and another 1/3 of a can into the crankcase about 500 miles before yuor oil change, that way all the crud it removes will be drained out during the oil change
