Some Sad Facts about TheManInBlack
I post this to warn those of you who might plan on dealing with TheManInBlack.
2 months ago I posted a message asking where I could get Jump Seats.
I had a couple offers, and decided to take up TheManInBlack's offer of $40 plus shipping.
I waited a week for him to tell me where/how to send the money and he replied that he's been too busy to package and weigh the seats, and will get the shipping cost for me as soon as possible.
I waited about 3 more weeks, then gave up, and started looking locally....and on eBay.
Guess what I found on eBay? The jumpseats that TheManInBlack had promised to sell to me.
Don't believe they're the same? Here is his own message posted in these forums advertising them!
I sent him an email telling him how surprised and disappointed I was with him, and never got a reply.
Well, I guess he realized he might be able to make more money on eBay, so kudos to his entrepreneurial spirit, because his auction is already over a hundred bucks.
It used to be a man's word was as as good as gold.
Someone who is proud to advertise that he is a military man, and a sergeant at that, should certainly have more character than TheManInBlack has displayed. If you want to represent our men in uniform, I'd expect you to hold yourself to a higher standard than the average Joe.
Oh well. Here's to selling out.
I'd change my handle if I were you, Dave Overton....and stop boasting about being in the military. You disgrace those of us who served honorably.

Thanks for the support guys. But maybe I shouldn't be too hard on him....it's not like I lost any money on the deal. I'm just ticked that I waited patiently for so long to get some seats that I really need for my family. And who knows...maybe events in his life make money more important than his honor.....I'd be interested to hear his side of the story.

I'm posting this here and in the other complaint thread.
First of all, there was no crime, theft, or ripping off here. No money changed hands and nobody got screwed. This is not as big a deal as some are making it out to be, nor is it one that is worthy of banning.
Secondly, to TheManInBlack, you do owe 4blades and the membership in general an explanation or apology since you decided to do this in the public eye. For all I know, you forgot about him when you decided to put them on eBay. Or you saw an opportunity for more money and just decided to blow him off. Either way, you better say something since it is all public now.

A little communication goes a loooooong way. That's why my ebay score is 100%. Even if I'm in a lazy *** mood to ship out my stuff, I'll email the buyers and say there is a delay in shipping and I'll still get positive feedback.
People just want to know what's going on and not to be left twisting in the wind.

Not a crime, no....but an agreement was broken.
I could not buy any jump seats the whole time I was waiting to hear back from him, because in my mind we had an agreement, and I fully intended to follow through with it, even if I found a better deal in the meantime. So he didn't take my money, but he sure wasted a big chunk of my time....for what blatantly appears to be purely selfish reasons.

I think he should still sell them to you, but that won't happen...

My Sincerest Apologies
First Off 4Blades, I actually did forget that i had promised them to you and I sincerely apologize for that.
Secondly there are several reasons why my mind has not been where is should be for a while if any of you read this thread you would know why thread
Third it was not as if i signed a contract so therefore you shouldn't go around spreading rumors about me and my sale when you don't have all the facts
i didn't get an email that i know of or i would have absolutely emailed you back
Not trying to start anything but offering up my sincerest apologies.

I read your post. I feel like quite the heel now, and offer my own apologies. Nothing is more important than family. My jump seat problem is a pretty sorry *** thing to get worked up about compared to what you're going through. Peace, brother. My best wishes for the happiness of you and yours.
