Do you have your house or apt number really visible? I hate when I go to pick a machine up for service and the customer doesn't have their number posted.

vista4.0 05-13-2011 11:33 AM

ive never had a problem with ups, fedex or usps... guess im lucky

98liftedranger 05-13-2011 11:45 AM

I only use Fedex. I have had tons of problems with USPS, maybe one with UPS and none with Fedex. Fedex is defiantly the best. My dads company ships hundreds of packages a day and has never had a problem with Fedex but has had multiple problems with UPS.

I also only do FedEx. My laptop came via FedEx International and it left China on Monday morning and showed up at my door Thursday at noon! I was impressed, I expected it Friday afternoon.

I've shipped a few packages through FedEx and they've never let me down. Plus their rates are generally cheaper than UPS. I shipped an odd shaped item (a keyboard stand) without a box, just the ends wrapped up in cardboard and a shipping label on it through them as well and it arrived perfectly. Other large stuff as well like the keyboard itself, guitar hero drums, my first Xbox 360, an Xbox racing wheel, and a bunch of small stuff. Never a lost, damaged, or late shipment.

Andrew shipped me my axle shafts and disc parts via UPS and the box looked like it went through a hurricane. It was completely blown out, taped together sloppily, and had a hole the size of a grapefruit in the side of it. Could have lost a caliper in transit.

USPS has screwed me multiple times as well.

Never had a problem with UPS everything shows up when they say it will.

I live at an apartment. I'm in building "A" huge letter "A" on the. Building with the address out front in big letters also.

Masteratarms93 05-13-2011 02:35 PM

Yeah complexes and apartments confuse them easily. At my dads office they are 1122 A Parkway Drive and 1122 B is across the street and 1123 A is next door. They can't seem to figure it out lol.

Sonic04Edge 05-13-2011 02:46 PM

**** UPS they "lost" an item I was getting from a member and then screwed us on the insurance. I will personally never use them again unless its coming from an actual business that can easily replace it.

If the "lost" my wheels I would have a fit and get every penny back from them. Also Rimzoneonline.com cheap prices amazing customer service and free shipping. The are in NC also

99offroadrngr 05-13-2011 06:16 PM

UPS can suck it. they ****ed up the insurance and i still haven't gotten the damn check yet. BEYOND SLOW and ****ty customer service at their claims department.

Hmmm....Im glad you mentioned this.

Thanks.

Alot of the claims made in this thread knocking UPS don't even relate to UPS in any way. lol Whoever packaged your box is responsible for how it shows up at your door. Your address being messed up, the supplier you bought your wheels from. Being in charge of the shipping/recieving department at lightline, I know how things work with UPS and FED EX. UPS is the better of the two. Fed Ex has a proven higher rate of lost and damaged packages. Of course every company has their mistakes, not trying to say fed ex sucks or anything like that, (obviosly UPS has its fair share of mistakes), but just informing the OP that his problem goes back to the original shipper. We are responsible for putting the address, name, phone #, size, and weight of the package on the shipping label. UPS just picks it up and brings it to the next stop down the chain. And also, you live in an apartment, you shouldn't expect perfect delivery everytime. Apartments are confusing when you visit 50 of them a day trying to find that one door out of 500.

JRacer, the shipper put all the correct info.

These people a horrible I'm at UPS and ask for my packages and the lady drops the 1at because its too heavy. It took a solid hour to find the last wheel.

Rimzoneonline.com great place. Highly recommend

JRacer 05-15-2011 06:53 PM

Sorry to hear that man. Glad I live in a house with the numbers clearly posted on it. lol If they ever miss, they end up across the street and my neighbor just sends them over here.

Masteratarms93 05-15-2011 07:09 PM

I haven't had any REAL issues (like lost money or items) with UPS but as a general rule I don't use them.

04RangerDave 05-16-2011 09:45 PM

lets see how fed ex does. just ordered blacked headlight.

If the shipper put the address you requested, which I assume was correct, why was a delivery intercept alternate delivery address requested?

thompsonmike 05-23-2011 10:58 PM

hahahaha..that sounds good..
i generally use DHL courier services.that is best and perfect in time.

Masteratarms93 05-24-2011 05:43 AM

We don't have DHL in the US anymore....they were good though.
