RCI Metal Works
Hey all,
I order a front skid for my Ranger on Sunday, October 14th. Thinking it is just a small business and what not, i would probably not be getting a order confirmation that night especially since it was a Sunday, i waited til Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday...Nothing. Just a paypal invoice but no communication from RCI at all. Am i not giving them enough time? I just thought i would get an acknowledgement of the order and actually by now a tracking number? I guess im just too excited for the skids!

You could of just pulled those tranny cooler lines off of the clip and ditched the clip. and it would of had plenty of slack
Leave it off. you'll need to disconnect your tranny cooler so it doesn't bind when lifting the truck.
actually were you the one doing the 1" lift?
Hmm, hopping i wont have to do that but we'll see. I have a BL i am going to install in a few weeks cause i won't have enough time in the near future, but is it okay if i throw the skid plate on? Or will it be easier to lift it with it off and then just put it on after the BL is on?

I rock a front and Tcase skid from RCI, and they are doing great. I high center myself constantly on my tcase skid, and its the only reason I still have a transfer case. Reasonable price, the owner gives a damn and responded to my questions, and even made sure he could get them delivered to the border in time for my parents to pick up while they were visiting the USA, so I didnt have to make a separate trip to pick them up.
Its seldom I can say all good things about a company. Good job Josh

For those thinking about buying these, they are worth it. My transfer case skid had the whole weight of the truck on it at SL and it curved slightly. My own fault not the product's design caused this. The front skid took some decent hits too and no issues whatsoever.
If I had to buy a second set of skids for some reason I wouldn't think twice on these.
