EGR

i was talking with a friend of mine he told me he had his EGR deleted or removed and it improved his gas milage and power. would this have the same effects on my 4.0?

you`re not gonna gain anything by removing the egr. The egr actually lowers you combustion temps.

if you cap it -- get used to seeing a check engine light also..

the egr adds inert gases to your combustion chamber helping you to lower combustion temps and improve MPG at cruising speeds

Mine is deleted, felt a HUGE of power increase. Maybe thats because of the headers I put on at the same time... hahaahaha Don't delete it..... I was OK because I had Doug Tune it out, and I had a reason to because the headers I ordered didn't have an egr outlet tube.
