what do you got in your garage

I'm still very new to vehicles and modding so i have nothing in my garage as far as tools goes so I'm just curious what are some of the basic tools you guys keep for modding your trucks also I'm making this a double post as I'm curious for those of you that have BL, and SL's how much did your cost over all and were did you get them done, the reason I'm asking is i went to a custom shop in town and the guy wants $1000 for a 2.25 suspension lift from ready lift and even i think he said $1100 for the 3 inch body lift.

LOL I don't know where to begin on the tools. I have a ton of tools, small yard care stuff, 06' Charger R/T, and a 99' Infiniti G20. Also have my old tires, and some other little things all over the place.

i have a semi large tool chest from Canadian Tire with quite a selection of hand tools, most of them Mastercraft,
I would say for a beginner or somebody that does not have a whole pile of tools , to get one of them combination socket sets they sell with multi pieces,. mine are 200 + and 150+ piece sets that i carry in my truck, i can repair most anything with them ,

All the tools I have used to work on my truck are a minivan jack (I broke it), two jack stands, pure utter grunt strength, and a set of ratchets and sockets. I also use a big piece of pipe if I take off my bed bolts (you need a torx socket set for that to). Otherwise you can borrow tools from Autozone when needed.

Besides a vehicle, there are tool boxes/cabinets, air compressor, refrigerator, and a freezer in the garage.

I do all of my own work so my suspension set-up was done for the cost of the parts.

I have just a small collection of hand tools plus drills and saws etc...

All major work I do to my vehicles gets done at my dads house. He has a butt load of crap.

Heres my lil setup. Laying down epoxy on the floor this spring. Also doing something with the hot water heater area. Looks horrible! My 67' takes up half the garage so i dont have any space to do any major work.

if you dont have any tools, i think your best starter set is something like this:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...sName=View+All

as for what i have its just way to much to list.
hope this helps.

i bought 2 sets to start with, the first was a 250 piece master craft maximum socket set, and the second one was a 200 piece mastercrap socket and bit set just so i could get the extra sizes and torx. that i needed for the seatbelts, o and i should have mentioned its not that i dont have any tools its that i don't have any tools specifically for car's I'm a drywaller so i have lots of carpenters tools and drills, and crap like that.

honestly, if I had a 3/8 ratchet I would probably carry it around with me and just spin it around to make noise.

Mid sized chest, compressor, a couple ratchet and socket sets, impact wrench, 1000 cans of pb blaster, brake parts cleaner, and boxes of specialty tools for various cars i have owned.

If i were you I would by:
Floor jack
4 jack Stands
200+ piece Craftsman tool kit
O2 Sensor socket
Can of PD blaster for rusty bolts
Shop manual for your truck
Drain bucket for oil
plastic mallet
brake bleeder tool
Impact driver (18v battery or with a compressor is better)
and ??? I shop at sears and Harbor Freight like a fat kid in a candy shop. My outlook is that I'd rather spend $300 on a tool to fix my car than pay a mechanic $400.

My ranger, 86' Bronco, 3 tool boxes, 2 work benches, an air compressor, 3 shelfs, 12 cabinets on the walls (opens up a TON of extra space), an old coke machine, and a ton of crap spread out through out.

I have a 200 piece craftsman tool set. Everything else I borrow from my dad, cause he has everything. 2 other vehicles in the garage as well (01 excursion, 03 grand marquis) and other random stuff. Best thing is probably the heater though.

I have a few monster toolboxes, but I keep them in my livingroom. I keep my Evo IX and my 3.0 Show-Ranger in my garage though.

I basically have more tools then I will ever need... The only thing I really want to add to my tool collection is a plasma cutter a new welding table and a scissor lift, and a bigger garage to fit everything in...

A jar of mercury some loose asbestos layin around some rock hard bags of mortar from my dad... about 10 aluminum wheels a ss cat back exhaust from a chrysler 300 with the hemi. a bunch of street signs (all acquired legitimately from a constuction company that does alot of city work. with the exception of one sign that one of my dads drunk friends ran over and threw it in his truck) ..... some bikes and a bunch of other crap that needs to be thrown away... and infront of the garaged sits a 86 vw golf that i need to sell.

My garage has far too much stuff for the square footage I have.
It takes me 2 days to "clean out" enough space to squeeze my truck in.
