ICM mounting

Replaced my ICM with a JY piece. Everything's good. What do you use to replace the factory heatsink compound? Would regular CPU heatsink compound work? I've got tubes of Arctic Silver hanging around, or is there some other compound that would be better for under the hood environment?

Regular heat sink compound will work.
Just don't make the mistake I have seen all too often and use too much. A very thin film is all that is needed. Too much and you will actually insulate the part and decrease the heat transfer.

Thanks, Ken. Appreciate your input. Just wasn't sure i would hold up in the hostile environment of the engine compartment.
