Personally, unless you are showing your truck, it's just a way to pass the time. If it were a part that were visible all the time like rims, or your bumper, that's different. Hence why my engine and all of it's components have a nice coating of mud, while the outside of my truck looks nice and clean.

I should let it be known that in my younger days I used to always clean out the engine bay and paint random things. Now I'm happy leaving that alone and taking my OCD elsewhere.

I like the way that you colored the writing on the pieces.

Did you have to use High-Heat paint? Or did you use standard spray paint plus a standard clear spray? Looking to do some of this stuff and don't want to see my paint burn off because it gets too hot under the hood. Advice?

i didnt use high temp. the stuff i painted shouldnt get to hot.. i used krylon fusion on the base color and painters choice paint markers for the details. the throttle body cover is actually off of my truck again as well as a few other little things to be re done.

I've considered painting the valve covers blue like the Ford GT or the newest GT500R.
