Icon5 Cheap cold air intake kits? any help?

Looking to put a cold air intake on my ranger its already got an exhaust mod and my friends blazer has a nice one with a k&n all chrome steel or whatever and i need to find one as nice looking or better than his any help?

lol cant wait to see what all the guys on here have to tell u! cold airs dont do ****. just take the snorkel out of ur intake box and bam! youve got a cold air. but im sure other ppl will blow up this thread on why cold airs are a pointless waste of money.

a metal tube is a metal tube ebay intakes flow just as well as name brand

i agree with u guys, the polished metal tube just makes it perty, just take the snorkel out and get a good direct drop in filter

Removing the snorkel does not make it any "colder" lol.

pull ur top off ur air filter box pull the filter out & at the front of the box is a round tube thats the silencer tube aka snorkel

alrite i do that and buy a spectare, k&n whatever air filter and then i got a throady sound but no difference in hp?

yeah i dont have that kinda money and i wouldn't put a supercharger on a 4.0 v6 if my life depended on it. on my perspective i think its a bit overrated

yeah. ya think i could just get maybe a 2.5 3 in exhaust tubing polish it up would make it look nice or get stainless steel?

Cut the air box off and hose clamp on a $30 cone filter. Saves time and money. Doing Mine tommorow on my 08 4.0L. Iv done it on other vehicles and it sounds and works just as good as the "real" thing.

lol no kidding. To the OP, if you actually want any kind of a 'cold' air intake you're going to have to fab up some kind of homebrew ram air system

pull filter box out, then remove snorkel, its in the how to section on here. took me 25 minutes because i didn't have any wd-40 and had to grunt it out.
