Last ditch effort on getting a Level II...

...if this doesn't work on Monday, it's not meant to be. I've tried to get three of these things and something always gets in the way.

Here is an '07, Level II, 26,000 miles. They're asking $18,900. Gonna offer $18k.

But riddle me this... a French window sticker? Must be from Canada, 'eh?

I'm sure that's not what you're wanting to hear considering you've been searching for a while now.

That's exactly what I want to hear. I told my Dad the same thing...

CarMax has an '06 Sterling Grey with 28k with leather and the 290w Pioneer for $16,998. But the '07 still has a factory warranty I can extend, the '06 I'm on my own.

Dunno...

Yeah i'd say it definitely came from canada given the window sticker units are all metric. Be careful, son! LII are overrated really if you ask me.
It says not intended for sale or register in US ....sketchy....
Why do you want one so bad??

I don't think they are over-rated at all. They're the king of Rangers. Why I want one so bad? I want a truck, I don't want the payment associated with a F-150 Raptor, so a L2 is like a baby Raptor...not to mention I had a pretty badass Level II back in 2003 that I miss like crazy.

I wish, but I don't think they'd take it. What does anyone think about the other one at CarMax?

2006 Ford Ranger XLT in Irvine, CA- 6473502 at carmax.com

Um, A Lvl2 ranger is NOT like a baby Raptor. its not even close. The only differences in a lvl 2 ranger vs the xlt are upgraded shocks, stiffer tbars, MAYBE twin sticks, and the LS in the rear. NO WHERE CLOSE TO A RAPTOR..

And you said you wanted a 'truck' but didnt want the payments associated with a 'raptor'. so get a freaking FX4 F150 SCAB. That would be like a 'baby' raptor. Same thing minus all the goodies associated with the raptor. You get 3.73 LS in the rear, skid plates, upgraded shocks, all that jaz.. Also the 2011 Raptors have the new 6.2L in them.. Which as far as i can tell is only available in the raptors. Which the 5.4 is NO WHERE CLOSE to the 6.2.

I guess i just dont understand if you want a raptor so bad but dont want the payments, why not just get a Super Cab F150???? which is the CLOSEST thing you are going to get to the Raptor. They are Both Super Cab F150's, They both have the same engine(2010 raptors), the FX4 F150 has LS in the rear, you can put 35's on it with just a leveling kit. And hell you can even buy the gay graphics from ford to throw on there

BAM RIGHT THERE!!!!! but honestly i have to agree the lv II is nothing likethe raptor.... the raptor is a FX4 150 on steriods, as stated, and the LVII is like a XLT 4x4 on a protien stake and work out plan lol. there nice yes but for me not worth it. i bought my 04 XLT 4x4 with 48k for 8k out the door. unless you HAVE TO HAVE a level 2 i would just look into a nice clen XLT with a 8.8 4.10 LS. i love my XLT and it has gone everywhere i would ever need it to go. but good luck and the grey one is super nice lookin

Don't make me educate you on my knowledge of Ford, Rangers, Raptors and F-150's, boy. I'll go over it briefly, right here.

The Raptor is only available in the 133" wheelbase, which is what I would prefer in the F-150 FX4. Not only are the short-box FX4's now hard to find compared with their 145" brethren, they are no longer available by Ford while ordering new. Sure, the F-150 has the Electronic Locking Rear diff in some models, depending on year, but explain to me how an XLT F-150 is not similar to a FX4 Ranger and a Level II is not similar to a Raptor. Let's see....

Raptor upgrades over FX4:

Shocks
Interior
Wheels/Tires
Some ECU configuration
Body Panels

Level II upgrades over FX4:

Shocks
Interior
Wheels/Tires
Torsen L/S

Dude, there is NO WAY that a Level II is even on the same ballpark playing field as a Raptor, it's an entirely different sport. Like, Soccer compared with Frisbee... All I'm saying is that for the difference in some specs, the Level II is a "Ranger Raptor". It was just a way to word it. Hell, I'd even go as far to say that a Ranger is more capable off-road than an F-150 because of it's size. Can a L2 go 100mph through the desert like the Raptor? No. Could I take the Raptor up to Centralia like we all did back in the day? Eek...some of it yes, some was too tight and Shannon prevailed. Do you know who Shannon is?

Do you know much about the Raptor, in reality? I was in New York City with the BullRun crew and rode in the very first Raptor unveiled to the public. I have PR documents on it from day one. I've followed the Raptor since it was dreamed up. Same deal with the Level II Rangers. I had one back in 2003 that I modified pretty decently with the help of the guys through this site.

Not that you're saying I don't know what I am talking about, but I know what I am talking about. The 6.2L is also available in the SuperDuty trucks, too. Some of my friends have taken delivery of their Raptors with the 6.2 and they love it. There is a guy at work with a Molten Orange Raptor with the 5.4 and I've been able to play with it a few times. Have you driven one? Seen one? Have you planted your *** in the seat and then driven a "normal" F-150?

Why don't I get a supercab F-150? Because I don't want a ****ing supercab F-150.

haha lmao.. Chill out man. And nope, never 'planted my **** in a regular f150'. Just own a 05 SCREW FX4. But it just sits in the driveway and i had my friend drive it home for me, i like to look at it.

And i had a 00 Ranger that was double lifted and on 35's with 4.56s and a bunch of other **** done to it as well b4 i had my f150. The ONLY thing the Ranger had on my F150 was the smaller size. and it took almost $9K worth of mods to get my ranger as capable as it was. VS my F150, stock will go through pretty much everything that my ranger would have minus some of the narrow trails

Don't get me caught up in this because I don't know much but from what you listed about the Raptor being different from a FX4 is basically saying it's almost a completely different truck.

And the Raptor has upgraded shocks over the FX4??

I'll let the picture explain it's self.

Has upgraded shocks and suspension in whole. My bad. Sure, it's 7" wider in the front track. Blah blah.

There's me and the first public Raptor.

look, I wasnt trying to start anything, And i hope there arnt any hard feelings. I have RIDDEN in a raptor, the '10 model with the 5.4. AMAZING truck, i wish my 05 screw had that much power and agility. I told the fiance i want to trade the 05 in on a 11 raptor when i get back from afghanistan next september, but she wants to get a car for her, so we shall see what happens and where my finances are, should have enough money to put a HUGE downpayment on the Raptor ( im making around 32K dollars in the 9 months),. but i also owe 18K on the 05 still.. We shall see, maybe ill just try to sell the 05 and get what i owe on it, then put a downpayment on a raptor..

I WANT THAT 6.2!! lol

Anyone know if there are any companies planning on aftermarket stuff for the raptor as of yet?

i dont see the point in buying a level II unless it has twin sticks and all that other wise. it just have a 31 spline rear with a limited slip and better shocks. i dont see the big deal

I know where you can buy a 2008 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with 11,800 miles and tons of suspension and drivetrain mods for 20K.
