I hate thieves.....

so Saturday night me and a couple friends went to the local stock car races...earlier that day i was working on my new expo gauges that i got (got it installed now) and had accidentally left my toolbox unlocked....here is where it gets weird. ok so i come out to my truck after the races and were just hanging out in the parking lot. i open my tool box to grab a water and when i open it the light was on...i was like thats weird...something must have bumped it and turned i on....then i go to shut it and my come-a-long is hitting the top of the box making it hard to close..i re-situate everything and dont think any thing of it. i also noticed a pair of pliers way away from where it is supposed to be. then were just hanging out talking and i go to lean on the front of my truck and i notice something looks weird....it took me a second to realize what it was but someone had taken my piaa fog lights off. i look on the ground and see the nuts and washers laying on the ground...im like WTF? and pissed. then i noticed that on my friends bumper (who was parked in front of me) a pair of my pliers was laying on it.....so basically someone got into my tool box, turned on the light, dug through it a little, found the tool they needed, closed the box and stole the lights and left the pliers laying on my friends bumper. they didnt take anything out of my box luckily.....but those piaa's are worth like 300 bucks. i am going to file a claim with the police, and go talk to the local pawn shops and tell them that if someone comes in with piaa's that match my description that they are stolen and to call the police, and im going to be keeping my eye out for them on craigslist...and on someones truck on the street....i can tell if they are mine or not...mine had a small crack in the grill, and a little rust spot....but ya i feel like a dumbass that someone stole my lights with MY tools...lol

Some people are pretty brave to do the things they do. That must have taken some time to snoop to find the tools, then use the tools to remove the fogs. Crazy!!

That sucks I know how you feel my trucks been broken into 3 times in the six years since I've had it. At one time both my door locks were hammered in with screwdrivers.

You should have filed a police report asap, even if you dont get your lights back they will be aware that some one is ripping off cars in a wierd way, if they ever catch the guy they may be able to connect him to you IF he is....just a suggestion. Sucks to hear man, Im really supprised they didnt just rip off your tools. I meen thats just wierd that they took the time to take your lights but not your tools.
