I am trying to decide which HID's to go with. What would you guys/ gals do? Im stuck between 6000k in the heads and 12000k in the fogs for combo #1 and 6000k in the heads and 3000K in the fogs for combo #2. Let me know what yall think.
Wayyy to blue for headlights imo.
I thought they may look kinda cool as fogs, but maybe your right.
Here's the problem with the 55w kits. Unless it's a TRUE 55w kit, which I know most people don't run, they sell you a 55w ballast with a 35w bulb. The true 55w kits are much more than the 55w kits people claim are "55w"... The problem here is that but increase the power sent to the same bulb will result in, yes an increase in light output and brightness, but a significant decrease in lifespan of the bulbdue to the increased heat produced.
A true 55w kit won't get hot like the immitation 55w kits because the bulbs can handle the power being sent to them. This also results in lower heat output and sustained life of the bulbs.
Many people don't know that.

Lmao. I saw a guy runnin them a few days ago with heads and fogs with the 15K or whatever they are. Looked goofy as hell but I thought they might look kinda cool as just fogs. Tre do you have any pics with yours in? Btw I am gonna run 35W.
I saw a guy in a escalade who ran pink HIDs and I was always seeing him with blue lights behind him alot.... There is also a car that has pink HIDs my Girl loves them but i think they look funny......
Anyway anything above 6000K you start to lose light output. 5000K has the best light output... Also blue doesent do well in rain

In my opinion these are the best pictures I've seen for true HID color.
6k heads, 3k fogs
If anyone wants to take some comparison pictures my settings were
1 second shutter speed, f/14 ISO 800 at 18mm on a tripod.

HIDs were fun, but I doubt I'll ever run them again.

I recommend anything between 4300k and 12000k for headlight color temps. Depends on what you're getting the HID's for.
Noob. lol
