Finally saw a '06 today at the local dealership who never heard anything about a "new" Ranger. So I like it....very much. Waiting to see a Fx4 Level 2 in graphite grey. I guess the XLTs have color keyed bumpers, that's new. Still the same ole' TOO TALL seats. They were asking $25,700 they even offered the Ford Family Plan with it. Anywho....here's some pics but most importantly, some nice good close ups for you '06 parts seekers: mirrors, emblems, taillights, corner lights, grille, etc. Here ya go!:

damn, they still have that f'd up front end....now they've put on goofy looking mirrors.....

The front clears and the tail lights are nice though...

wonder if you could swap out the grille. Those are the most f'ed up mirrors I have ever seen.

 

I know man im right there with ya they should put a more agressive looking tire on it.

I think an FX4 with the STX grille and an 03 valance would be spot on. Too bad they're still equipped with the Wranger RT/S (Rain Traction/Sucks.)

ialso kinda want to pick up a set of the tails, and maybe the mirrors. too. the mirrors have a color-keyed panel on em on the sport models... i think a set of those colormatched silver frost would look gooood.

The two mirror pictures are confusing to my poor "weekend mode" brain.
The top picture makes the mirror look horizontally rectangular and the bottom pic makes it look vertically rectangular....

Other than that it's not bad..

 

could those ford emblems be any bigger??? I really like the front bumper, so about how much is that from ford?

i went and checked out the ones they had at my dealership (a few xlts and sports) and the the new tails on the red look awesome...

they should swap out perfectly right?

How much do the new RANGER badges run????

 

The new tailgate ovals are 9" across compared to 4.5" on the earlier ones. Looks way out of proportion.

 

I couldn't really tell...It looked like the same. The seats, dash, and carpeting were covered with that plastic covering stuff.
