been gone 2 years and out of a RBV for 2 years and i'm ready to be back!!! need help!

looking to build me up a trail pig out of a RBV... found a few good starting points but none of them have had the running gear i really want, found a B2 but every bit of the good was pulled out of the tranny/t-case and frontend..
i did find this:

i call it the "banger" its a ranger cab sitting on a B2 chassy.
the guy wanted 1000 for it and i got him down to 800 sight un seen for it, is it worth it for the drivetrian??
drivetrain is carb'd 2.8 with M5OD-R1 with dana 28 front and 7.5 rear..
i hav found a D44 TTB and 8.8 i was going to throw under it in the full width flavor...
and with out the metal, welding wire/rods, and other parts i may need i would be looking at 950 buying the truck and axles..
would you guys go for it or wait?
i know where a '94 is that needs a tranny, but they want a grand for it..

when i first opened the picture my thought was TUBE BED!!!
i really want to get my start to be under 800 bucks i would do 1000 if i had to but... all money i can save on the inital purchase is money spent on axles, lift, or a carb 302 to drop in

i plan on wheelin the V6, 4 banger, or whatever is in it until it goes BOOM!! then i may build that little 3.0 in my shop up or go ahead and jump to the 5.0

i like how clean that B2 looks but it looks so clean i would feel terrible to chop it up then go bounce it of a tree on to its lid... plus that thing is like a hour or 2 away from me.. possibly more..

well the other one is cheaper.. and cheaper is better right? lol. but, whatever floats your boat! personally, if you get that ranger on the b2 frame, make a cage from the middle of the open frame, through the cab, and around it.

if i get it, its going to start with just a tube bed and a "hoop" roll bar outside the cab, then as money, time, and supplies become avaliable it will most likely grow into a exo cage, the cage will grow as the lift grows..
its gonna take a while but it will be worth it
