So I just picked up a yj for my girlfriend and in the guys yard us a 1989 grand wagoneer he has for sale. The body is in great shape and from war I can tell the drive retain looks in good shape for a vehicle that's been sitting for a while. He told me the motor is a 360somthing and he wants to sell the hole truck for $800. So I really only want the front axle but he won't part it out. Is it worth just grabbing the whole thing? What does everyone think of this find? I'm thinking of making him an offer in the next 2 hours so opinions welcome.

 

i would grab the whole thing. if the body is as good as you say, part it out on the jeep sites and put some coin in your pocket or to offset the SAS costs.

 

I got the whole thing for 750. The interior is mint and the outside is pretty good. I'm keeping the front d44 and it's going into my sas. I'm parting it out after I take wat I want. Hopefully I can make most of my money back that way and make even make a few bucks!
