there slim ballasts, mounted behind the front bumper. i tries to splice wire on the output of the ballast but i think the voltage drop was to much. apparently the ballasts have to be really close to the bulb

yeah i never had these lights with the original bulbs hooked up so i cant compare. i have notice the HID bulbs broadcast a lot better than my old 100w H3 bulbs and significantly brighter, but that was in a whole different housing.

Yeah I have HIDs in my headlights, I was just wondering about the focus of the light I guess. Since it is going in a reflector housing I don't expect it to be great, but I was hoping it didn't scatter too bad. Also, are those 6000k?

I can see reflectors at a quarter mile on the road. And a hundred feet to each side with the housing it's in. The only problem is the street signs are blinding. Lol

Off topic I know... but how bad is the scatter with your headlight housings, assuming you have the truck in your avatar. I've been thinking about HID but with silverstars in there now I have a awesome super amazing pattern that I really dont want to loose.

To the OP, I want your grill. And I always wanted HID's in my 6" rounds. Thats wicked.
