Christmas Came Early

Let's just say I'm glad I'm not paying for them
I <3 MomMy dad is getting me my wheels. And I got tires. Unfortunatly I am having zero luck finding some 31-33 BFG A/Ts. My budget is $500 and I would like less than 10k on them, but I have 2 months.
I need to decide if I want to do the bearings while I have it all apart. My local AZ sells Timken bearings are $15 a piece plus I have to rent all the tools. Not to mention I've never installed them so I have to figure that out. We will see. Might skip just due to time.
But these are defiantly a start :) Should be lifted my end of January. Wish I had a heated garage HAHAHA
true, like i said, never done it. maybe i will take the whole job to my mechanic. ehhhh.
That's what I've heard but I've never packed bearings or know what I need to get.
I found this, I wonder if I take this into AZ if I can tell them I need everything for a complete front bearing job.

dont waste your money!!!! if you have all the nuts and bolts, then go buy a jar of grease and pack em by hand. do you know how to pack? it gets dirty but is easier than anything. save yourself the trouble down the road, get the bearings
if you have a hammer and a brass punch to replace the races and two hands to pack the bearings and a little common sense to set the preload its a no brainer...youll want new bearings to run bigger tires...i would anyway
Edit: what size rim are you getting? are you staying with 15 or going a little larger?
15" options from discount http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tog...&fcb=&sw=false
16" options http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tog...&fcb=&sw=false
in either case i was unable to change the tire size but that give you some ballparks.

do the bearings, you will regret not doing them later....if you need help with them send me a pm.... by the way im pretty sure i saw you driving down 77 south last night. i was looking and saw a maroon reg cab ranger with a huge red diff cover and 06 tail lights and thought ive seen it on here before
GB :)
wrong. andrew ran 33s on his 98 coil spring with lift spindles and coil spring spacers.
i don't know anything about any of the bolded stuff.
i defiantly want to get new ones though. just makes sense.
$500 will not get my 32-33 BFG A/Ts. It will get me some crap tires. I want to get some KOs used. It is the best deal. Some guy here was selling 33 BFG A/T KOs for $350 with 5k on them.
Yeh did you ever get ahold of him and see about picking those up?
LOL BFG A/Ts are not good tires. I thought at the least you would be going with mud tires, not street tires.
And in my opinion BFG All-Terrain K/Os are the best AT on the market next to Duratracs.
I have emailed him 3 times and got no reply. I hate when people post up on CL and don't put a number and don't monitor there email. When I have something up I check everyday. I am assuming they are sold due to his lack of reponse.
I don't know, I think I they will run with some slight rubbing with just the spindles. I will order a pair of 1 or 2 inch coil spacers just in case though.
