did headlights on 2000 3L ranger come clear

I mean like clear clear. I have polished mine with every chemical under the sun by hand (i dont have that fancy drill thing) but all i have done is removed the road wear and yellow while making my headlight casings whiter (by using bleach). did my covers come see-through? can i make them see-through if not? thanks
Brent

No. pre-2000 Ranger headlights do not have clear covers like 01+ do.

Have you tried using meguiars headlight restoration kit. It comes with the drill bit and all the sand paper and polishing you need to clear them. It's like $25 at walmart.

did yall buy your lights though? because my headlight casing clips are rusted to bits and will not budge so new light boxes are out of the question and they are 80+ dollars a piece and only sold at ford in my area. and do you think those 20 dollar restore kits would make my stock unclear lights clear? i have tried scrubbing bubbles, soft scrub with bleach, liquid comet, turtle wax with little bit of sand, wet sanding with 600, and blue magic, it looks nice but just not clear

IIf you mean just back to how they came from the factory then yes, but if you mean clear like those ones people are linking to on ebay, no you wont get yours that clear.
