Turn signal doesn't work

Title says it all.

This is on my g/f's 93 XLT 4x4, auto, supercab, 135k..... and all that jazz.

Well, the right turn signal works.

The left turn signal illuminates, but doesn't activate. What I mean is I can click the turn signal lever to turn on the left turn signal and the arrow will turn on, but won't actually function.

Is this controlled by a relay... is it a common problem?

LoL I'm hoping there is an easy way to fix this.

Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

If a bulb was out it would hyperflash.

yeah there are two filaments in a turnsignal bulb which means it can light up but not flash, so i'd just look at the bulb first, but with my experience though it only hyperflashes when the relay is on its last leg

I feel like the biggest NOOB ever after this thread. In my 15ish years of playing with cars, I've never ONCE had a turn signal go out on me. That would explain why I had no idea what it meant.

Yeah replacing the bulb fixed it. I was going to get a whole handful of them from the junkyard but this is my g/f truck and she needed the truck so lol $6 later and it's fixed.

Now, the rest of her truck, OTOH, is a totally different story for a different thread.
