worked on one today at the shop for the first time.. nice small v8 basically a 4.0 i was wonder would it be easy to swap into a ranger or would it be a waste of time.

 

no engine swap is "easy". There are ones that are easier than others like a 5.0 is easier than a 5.4L or a 4.6L. As far as the 3.9 it would defiantly fit but it probably would need custom mounts for the engine and tranny plus custom drive shafts. And obviously no 4x4 since no T-case would bolt up.

 

yea all the swaps if done are bmws and hondas and they are easy.

 

i was wondering about that motor in a first gen fusion.
