Bed Rug. I need you all to comment.
ok for one yes I have a tonnue cover. and I am debating on a bed rug over a spray in liner. I want poeple who has had the bed rug to fill me in on it good please.

ive never used one, but i assume that it would be a good non-permanent barrier for your bed, what do you usually haul around? anyhting that would tear or stain the carpet? i personally have never gotten into the bed rugs because i haul things, and they just dont offer the impact protection i want, plus i dont want to spend all the money on a nice bedrug and have to clean stains out of it. it all depends on your application, lets hear it!

If you're going to do a Bedrug, get a cheap roll in bedliner (like Herculiner or something), then put the Bedrug in. I still need to do that.
That being said, I love my Bedrug. Has held up quite well, and I've put it through quite a bit of abuse. Bearing in mind I do usually have my tonneau on, in the winter time when the tonneau is off, it has to bear that abuse. When we go up north and chop firewood, it has to bear that abuse. When I help friends move (way too often it seems) , it has to bear that abuse. When it has to haul half a ton of junk drywall 50 feet to the dumpster, it has to take that abuse.
Overall, it ****ing rocks. I love it. I still almost wish I had a Rhino, but I don't one bit regret getting the Bedrug. I do still plan on doing a cheapo roll-in bedliner and then putting the rug back on top, but even without it, I love it.

I must say, I wouldn't have went out and bought one, the one I have came with the bed and the cover. But I must also say I have been VERY impressed with how its held up. Now I don't go using my bed like I do my company truck, but for light duity use, its been really nice. Stuff doesn't get bash up when I put it back there from sliding around, plus I have hulled Rearends and had fluid leak, hauled my quad many times that left mud in the back, even did the old battary falling over test lol I just power wash it and take some harsh soap to the bad stains and it comes out nice all the time.

A guy at my work has one. he has had it for about 3 years without any cover. he likes it and it looks new.
From what i have read it isn't cloth, but little strands of plastic, so it shouldn't stain unless it would stain a normal drop in bed liner.

Well i used to have one, then sold it to Justin(RangerJustin). I loved it, but w/o my tonneau i didnt really have any use for it. I say go for it, not only is it a kick *** bed, and it can hold stuff from going all over the bed of the truck, but u can wash it so easily(either vaccume or even spray it with a hose) its mildue, stain, etc etc proof. Plus it looks really good

id go w/ the spray on liner just incase you have to do real work out of it then you dont have to wory about getting the bed rug durtey
and as long as you keep the spray looking good then it looks .......

See thats the thing my truck doesnt haul damn near anything but tires sometimes. there no piont for my little 4cyl to haul **** around we have a F-150 in the drive way thats the grunt truck. hmm I think i might just lean towards the bed rug.
I have a BedRug and it's great. Albeit, i have a camper, so it all matches back there. It's easy to clean (without the cap) and does its job. It doesn't hurt your knees when you get on it (like the rhino-lined ones) and it's solid. I've had so much crap on it (tree sap, water, nasty stuff, etc) and it comes off with a little soap and water. I think it's one of the best investments i've done to my truck.

I think carpet in the bed makes as much sense as carpet in the cab, it useless if you go wheeling or plan to haul anything like wood, or mulch. If you have a street truck and never go off road, or plan on having a load in your bed they are nice and have a clean neat look.

I haul bulky things like steel, tires, lifts, parts and it works great, any stains (Like grease from old pieces of metal, car parts) clean up with a degrease spray and a rag. I'm not sure how it would hold up to a pile of dirt, rocks, trash, but in all other circumstances, I would highly recommend it. 2 years of pretty hard use, and it still looks great. Dog loves it, and it even makes a good bed in a pinch.
