wires through firewall?

Can anybody share the best possible way to get wires through the firewall in an 04? Better yet what hole or grommett did you use?

i used the one thats behind the dash just above the pedals. i usually use a bent wire hanger to feed wires through the grommet. i can barely get anything else through it now though since there's so many wires going through

If you have troubles doing that you can always drill a hole for whatever size wire you need then put in the proper size grommet.

good luck trying to get a drill in there. best bet is poke and tug through an existing grommet

On my 04 I unbolted the fuse box and moved it out of the way and drilled 3 holes right behind it to run wires through. Then just put the fuse box back and the holes will disappear.

I did the same thing to run my power wire for the stereo, just make sure you use a rubber grommet. To run the wires for my temp sensor for the OHC I drilled a hole on the passenger side next to the fuel pump cut-off switch used a grommet and water proof sleeving out to the sensor on the core-support.
It was harder to run the wires then to drill the holes.

if your truck has that big round plastic thing on that fire wall with all the wires going through it into the engine compartment like mine, then you could do what is did wich is just drill a hole though the plastic carfully avoind the wires and run your wires though there, works good, just make sure the wires are out of the way of the e-brake or you will find out like i did that it will pinch the wires and cause them to short
