I would probably agree with j99. I just replaced my plugs with some nice Iridiums and didn't go thru the wheel well. It wasn't as user friendly and it tore my arms up a little. I don't know why I didn't go thru the well...I had the wheel off replacing a broken sway bar linkage anyway. Guess I like doing things the hard way.

alright man will do. its a work in progress for sure.. its four colors right now, but the frame engine and trans only had 70,000 miles on it so i had to jump on it. im used to older rides i have an 87 mustang and had a 92 f150 for like 12 years. i needed better gas mileage and ext cab for the new job.......
i'll get some pics up soon of the frankensteinranger.

Nice! I bought my 99 knowing it had issues but anxious to have a Ranger again. I'm going to have a great time throwing money at it and seeing what happens. My wife isn't too keen on the money thing but it will be a long work in progress,

Waaaay easy when you pull the inner fender plastic. Here's what ends up right in front of you.

How many miles on ur '99 4.0? I have a '97 w/123K mls and it has piston slap. Do you or anyone know what years the pistons on the 4.0 were redesigned to cure this problem?
