Icon4 I've painted my headlights black, what about the tails now?

Sorry if this thread is misplaced, I'm new and this is my first real post. Anyways, over this past weekend I did the headlight mod where you heat up the headlights, pull them apart and paint them. I was wondering if the same thing could be done to the taillights? or if anyone has heard of anyone modding the taillights like that? When I mean painting them I don't mean just straight up painting everything inside the light housing black, just certain areas of the taillight black. Could this work? any input on it?

how would this work? I mean the lenses is already red..so you wont see it from the outside..now if you had an all white brake light, then yes you could do this..

I think someone tried this. I don't think it worked that well, but it's worth another try

Oh trust me man, I'd love to nightshade them or tint them out. But, since I live in the great state of Virginia....I'm not allowed to do anything without getting pulled over every 5 seconds and getting an nice ticket.

Highroller: It would be kind of a discrete thing I suppose, But, it could be noticeable, I just can't really think of a good way to explain what it'd look like at the moment.

01RangerEdge: haha, I had a time getting the headlights apart.... Sooooo in that case I don't know if I'd want to risk messing anything up considering I'm in high school with no job....that all adds up to no money :(

Taylor: The clear tails sound interesting, is that picture of them night shaded? or just a picture of night shaded tails?

There are covers for headlights, but the law aint too happy with them.

Also, the taillights pictured about are sprayed with nightshade.

One guy tried to heat up his tail lights to seperate them.. it doesn't work. You will break them. He ended up having 2 sets of tail lights, and cut them apart, saving a good front half, and a good back half, and painting them, and putting the 2 good halfs together. If that makes sense.

With the nightshade, u decide how dark u want them an even if u do do them dark. The lite can still shine through, just not as much. So I put red LED's in an haven't had any probs in over 3 months!! An in my county in FL they r pretty stick. Had to learn the hard way with my old rice burner!!!

Wirelessly posted (Timberwolf)

A little blast of niteshade will definitely make your tails stand out from a stock look.
