no seriously im not dumb which is why you might hate me. i stopped messing with mustangs for several reasons and ive probably owned more than most people have had cars period. anyways im just in need of a small truck with great gas milage so i want a 93 plus 2.3l 4x4 5speed truck, and maybe ill swap in a cherokee front axle to get rid of that garbage you guys call IFS. lift it , body lifts are gay and so are lift blocks. i dont do pavement pounders or princesses. i build leaf packs not add blocks

A 93 ranger doesn't have a IFS front suspension, they have a twin I - beam front suspension which is much better. What were your reasons for not messing with stangs anymore? Good luck on finding the new truck!

yeah i noticed its much beefier but none the less its not a solid axle but i dont care, im more interested in gas milage and a truck that can do the do if needed. and the 2.3 is bullet proof compared to alot of motors which is why i want a ranger. i had a bronco II and the 2.9 wasnt bad but i like the 2.3l and the turbo 2.3s are the shyt i would have a a turbo 2.3l ranger before i did a v8 swap. the 302 is a great motor, better than what replaced it in my opinion but theres too many reasons why i stepped away from the mustang scene. number one, being most of the people i met in person were arrogant dicks. i used to belong to a few clubs i washed my hands of it, but again im not brand specific. so whats the best ranger to buy?
and fyi i love my probe gt!!

eh i wouldn't go as far as saying the 2.3 is bullet proof, i took mine muddling and i spun a bearing, and if your so interesting in gas mileage why are you going to lift it thats just going to kill your gas mileage

OMG I FRIKIN HATE YOU DUDE, A 1993 2WD 2.3L RANGER WITH 4X4 AND A D30 FROM A CHEROKEE IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I'VE EVER HEARD. SERIOUS DUDE, WTF.

Yeah, it's not that big of a deal. 93-96 2.3Ls had a 4x4 option and there are tons of Rangers with D30s.

Says the guy with a 3.0

pre-98 2.3Ls have good potential. They are awesome on gas and they can be turboed or swapped for a T-Bird 2.3T fairly easily. I wish I had a 97 with a 2.3L instead of the 2.5L.

yeah i know they can be swapped with a turbo t-bird easily, its pretty much a direct swap, same engine with a lower compression ratio and a turbo charger, and for your information i had and still have a 89 2.3 horrible gas mileage for a four cylinder a whopping 18 miles to the gallon, had to all but run the **** out of i to get over the mountain and it spun a bearing, hens me saying that they aint bullet proof, the 3.0 for example decent on horse power cruse up the mountain in 4th gear and not 3rd, 20 mpg,

Yea, they haven't offered a 4banger 4x4 in a while. Like mid 90's. Also Travis, this thread's last post was in may.
