98 Ranger 6cyl 4.0L OHV PCV Location??

I have a 98 Ranger XLT, 6cyl 4.0L OHV (180,000 miles) and dont have a clue where the heck the PCV is located?

I haved gathered that it is on drivers side somewhere near the intake manifold,,,Have scoured for any pics that I could reference from with no luck.

Truck is throwing a P0174 and I am hoping that a bad PCV is the culprit or the hose attached to it. Trying to get this truck to pass inspection and as I fix one code another one pops up.

So far I have replaced EGR Valve and hose, DPFE, Fuel Filter, Air Temp Sensor, cleaned the MAF, ran a can of seafoam. Truck runs great, has a bit of a high idle at start up then eventually lowers to around 700-800 after warmed up.

I have learned far more then I expected from this forum and from all the excellent help provide this far. Its almost fun to search for clues to fixing each code, but dam it is becoming rather costly!!!!

pcv is in the driver side valve cover close to the firewall. there is a little hose that connects it to the intake plenum.

Got it pulled out, it came out rather easier, not much effort in pulling it out of valve cover. It rattles like all get out, so that I assume is a good thing. The hose connected to it is in really good condition, so I assume my PCV is in good working order. Any way to test it with vehicle on????
