what is the width of the 8.8 axles in 96 f- 150's. also did any come stock with 3.73 gears.

Not sure about the width, it's definitely wider though. I know my Expo is 1" over stock.

Check the tags, a real common ratio for them is 3.55. They did come in 3.73 but I've yet to find one here lately.

I would only go full width if you're matching the front, it'd look goofy. Do full width 1 tons and you have a winner. Plus the fiddy bolt pattern is different form a stock Ranger.

 

im looking for something to match my bms mid travel kit. it sits about 65" wide measured from wms to wms. i heard that the the 8.8 out of a f- 150 are close to that. im not worried about the lug pattern. i can live with the 3.55 since that my current gear set but it would be nice to find a 3.73.

does any body know what is the inside dia of the drums on the f- 150 8.8.
