im going to attempt a self resoration on my lid for my 60/40 center console with a piece of plywood. ive read that you can use a bolt to act as a latch so that the latch system will work. what size bolt is used to do this?

 

Did you ever figure this out? I could use the info as well if ya ever got it.

 

i just used some plastic glue over the crack and then put a piece of plywood on it. then recovered it with some new nylon. i didnt do the bolt hing just put a piece of velcro. the weight of the wood mostly holds it down unless i have to whip around a turn.
