Hey guys, haven't been on in a while. Couple of questions if anyone can help. I am getting a 3" lift for my truck with new 31-10.50-15 tires (currently have 225-70-15) adding the two together should I expect about 5-6 inches of total height. How many mpg's might i drop with the tire size increase? Anyone???

Well I sas'd my ranger with a toyota axle and I'm running 32 inch km2's with 15x10 wheels and I'm getting from 20-18 mpg. 4.10 gears help A LOT!

 

with a 2.3 and stock gears? alot.

 

Didn't even notice his trucks specs. With a 2.3 and only 31's it won't be that much of a loss in mpg just don't smash off every stop sign.

 

problem is hes gonna have 3.55's, most likely auto, so its gonna struggle.

 

assuming you are an automatic and average gearing youre gonna see a modest loss of 2-3mpg, again that is conservative. Lowering the gear would help a boat load. less struggle on motor and with bigger tires youll be able to cover more distance on less revs this saving fuel and retaining "close" to stock mpg.

would recommend the 4.10 ratio for 31's.

 

i do have 4:10 gears and i know i am going to loose mpg's was just wondering how much to expect.

 

When I went to 33's from 235's I lost about 4 mpg. I predict you will lose about 2 mpg.

don't understand why everyone thinks florida trucks should be lowered, i personally don't see the reason to lower a truck
