98 3.0v6 mantrans. if i go up a mountain and have to run the **** out of it to make it up. around 35 to 4 rmps i start to her maby like a tick. its not bad its just enough to notice. is that just cause the engine is being pushed or what. it doesnt do it at normal rmps like 15 to 3.

Up hill get a noise under load, maybe low oil ?

 

i just posted about this below...sounds like a lifter is running out of oil or something. Mine still does it with proper oil level.

 

has been awhile since oil change. its not loud and doesnt sound bad but i no any exstra noise aint nice

 

Try removing the heat shields from your cats.
