Hey guys. I'm looking at buying a used ranger and was hoping I could get some input. Its a 2002 Edge 4x4 auto in great condition. Thing still looks new. It has 180k on the clock which is my concern. How long is engine life with these? Am I at the end of its life already? If taken care of can I push well past 200k? What should I look at to see how the engine is?

I'd appreciate any help. Going back Thursday so hopefully can get some info by then!

X2. Either way though depending on upkeep it could last another 200K or it could **** out tomorrow. No one will be able to tell you one way or another. Both engines are capable of high mileage though.

I've seen many well cared for engines go for high miles. It all depends on how you care for it, or how it was cared for.
