ranger power

ok so iv done a ton of fun mods, visual and functional but its time to work on the motor now, its turning 132rwhp and i want it around 200. any way to do that without serious engine rebuilding? its the 2.5l im wondering if a turbo or a supercharger from a old 2.3 mustang would work and could my engine handle the power. engine has 142k miles absolutely NO leaks, no burning fluids never once had a misfire or a single problem, always run synthetic always had maintenance done on time.

what would be the best/cheapest/easiest way to gain 60-70hp without having to tear down and rebuild the engine.

any advice would be great.

thanks in advance!

lol, my friend has a built 2.5 thats putting out almost 350hp but he took the engine out and rebuilt it from the block up, which is what i suppose im gonna end up doing.

if i did go with a 5.0 swap what would i need a 5.0 from? like an 86 mustang or would i wanna go with a EFI 5.0 from a f150/bronco/explorer? and what transmission would i need?

Drivetrain from 84-86 SVO Mustangs were 5spd and turbo charged. The T Bird's were also offered with the same combo in mid 80's. 88 was the best year for the computer part and was mass air flow I believe. Those cars could be made fast for what they were. The SVO I tried to 'rescue' was a decent little runner and it was fun when the turbo came into boost, but that car was really modded before I got it and was impossible to know how much was done to it exactly. The history was spotty but I know it was several modded pieces including the turbo having the wheels changed inside, oversized injectors, headstuds, etc. I'd research what the emission laws are where your planning to move to before turning a wrench. You need to know what will fly and what trouble you'll be looking at to get it legal.
