Bucket seats to Bench

Hey guys, i want to swap my front bucket seats to the full bench since I want an extra seat and my armrest was broken by my friend a couple days ago :(.... Has anyone ever done it and does it match up with existing bolts now? Little info on the truck 2000 4.0L XLT package w/ front buckets/ rear side chairs.

Technically you have a 60/40 bench now. In order to get a full bench you will need to hit the junkyard for a early bodied ranger, odds are it will need to be reupholstered and the brackets may needed modding to fit the newer floor.

IMHO, fix the armrest and tell your friend to ride in the back.

Well if you wanted the 60/40 style I am sure someone would trade straight up for what you have.

a solid bench will mount in off the front two bolts, but you will have to drill two new holes for the rear. the more difficult part will be figuring out how to mount your seat belts to the bench seat.

Armrest repair!! - The Ranger Station Forums here is a link to a tutorial and part number where you can get a beefed up part to fix your armrest so it probably wont break again. Hope this helps!

Why do you want to do this ?

Most want the opposite.
