Need Opinions... Trade for a Bronco?

So basicly, I found this ad on craigslist.
Off-Road Ready 1984 Ford Bronco

Ive always wanted a bronco, and I really like this one. It looks taken care of and the owner is also a mechanic. I dont really need a truck and I love broncos.

Whats your guys opinions?

I was going to mention he is a member on fsb, but then I read his craigslist add and saw he already mentions it.

I own one of each. Both trucks have their advantages. If I HAD to choose one, i'd probably stick with the Bronco. Rangers are a dime a dozen. A nice clean, lifted Bronco really is an eye catcher. Not to mention it has a V8, can seat more then 2/3 people, can go topless, exc.

Its hard to say which one is right for you though. I debate which truck is better for me all the time.

Keep in mind it will probably get 9-11 MPG's. If that isn't a concern, I say go for it. Clean Bronco's are a dying breed. Get one while you can.

With that being said though...if you really want a Bronco, i'd look for a 96. More creature comforts, more reliable, EFI, and they look better IMO. You can find some nice ones for around 4-5k

I don't think I would. You know your truck and you just put a new motor in it. I wouldn't trade for something older. Its an awesome bronco though!

But wouldn't a 96 Bronco have the IFS front suspension? This one seems more desirable because of the solid front axle for off-roading purposes.

FSB's came with IFS in the front (TTB) from 1980 on. The one he is looking at has TTB.

Only FSB's that came from the factory with a solid axle are the 78's and 79's.

Ehh that would be a hard one for me. I love Broncos but I wouldn't be able to justify going to one that old. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome truck, but I'd get one of the newer ones, like a 95-96. Not my call though. Do something you won't regret (much) later!

Thanks I was hoping youd post your opinion.

The more I think about it, even though its an awesome bronco. Id much rather have a newer one. Efi is quite nice and obd II is convenient.

Id also regret losing my truck considering it was my first vehicle and all.
