Got my old factory buckets down...need center console and seat belt info

I finally got these down out of the attic, came out of my previous '03 when I did the leather explorer bucket seat swap. My current '03 is the same color and interior so I'm looking for specific info.

These have been shrink wrapped (at least the fabric part) in plastic since '04 and came out of my other truck at about 8000 miles. Might as well put them in my current truck. The track areas and such could use some clean up as theve been in the attic for 9 years. And of course my wife stacked some box on the passenger seat so it has a fabric crease in it it as you can see but that will come out with a little massaging.

Are there any seat belt mods that are required from my current 60/40 seat and or floor mounts? I don't think there should be but want to make sure. I remember having to put new bolts in the Explorer seat bases when I swapped them into the other Ranger.

I am 99% sure these factory Ranger seats and tracks will bolt right in place of my 60/40.

I am still desperately trying to find a complete black shorty factory center console but am having no luck. Gonna try another huge local U-pull place tomorrow but I'm not anticipating much success....can anybody get me one of these? Please? Lol! Anyway, besides tor x bits and general things such as general sockets and such do I need any special tools in case I run into one? Seems like finding a bucket seat equipped Ranger with a shorty console in a salvage yard is a needle in a haystack. I don't want to use a full length Explorer console in case anyone asks.

Thanks for the help!

Yup. To be honest I pretty much forgot about them until we were cleaning a few weeks ago. Since they've been down that indention in the fabric has come back to normal on the passenger seat.

as long as both cabs are the same, they should drop right in. seat belts should be the same.

If you don't mind doing a bit of digging and calling, try www.car-part.com for that shorty. I couldn't find one locally so I went this route, there's quite a few of them on there. Call around for pricing on shipping some of the yards are a little steep.

I found 2 Explorers at a local yard with shortys in them and mixed and matched the best parts out of both to come up with a complete assembly. The only thing thats not in good shape is the armrest part. I noticed that the mounting bracket for the armrest looks similar to the ranger one . Does anyone know if a ranger armrest will bolt on the shorty Explorer console? I disassembled the explorer ones I got and made them black instead of the tan and grey mix of parts I ended up with. Turned out really nice! Soaked them all in the bathtub (haha) with a ton of dishwashing soap to clean and de-grease them, thorough rinse, a light coat of plastic adhesion promoter, and some light coats of Krylon Fusion satin black. Seems to match the other factory type plastic thats in the truck and the texture is still there.

I found some new OEM armrest complete assemblies online for both explorers and rangers. I'd prefer the ranger one if it will bolt up because its already black and I wouldn't have to re color the explorer ones which only come in tan, brown, and grey. They are about $120
