Hi everyone i am a first time ranger owner and i am having a small problem getting my 2000 ranger with the 3.0L flex fuel engine to idle below 1000 rpm. I have already looked for vacuum leaks without finding any. I also just replaced the spark plugs and wires. Any advise what to test ???

 

Do a search on this forum. Much has been said about this. You could check the idle air control module and if you do replace it... replace it with a Ford Model. I had a ton of trouble with mine......Good Luck.
