Need facts: alternator swap 95 to 130 amp.

Will the 130 amp alternator for a 4.0 Ranger bolt onto a 3.0 Ranger? Someone told me the 130 amp. alternator on a 4.0 will bolt and plug right in my 3.0 Ranger. Anyone have the straight scoop? Thanks for your help...

I did this swap on my 03 3.0. I used an 130amp from an Explorer. The only thing I found was I needed a new belt. The orig was way too short. One brand would not fit. Can't remember which one. I ended up with a gatorback belt. The issue was ford used a (I can't remember exact size) xx.2 inch belt. Some manufacturers round this down to xx. Others bump it up to xx.1/2. I had to go to the up size due to the difference in crank pulley sizes with the engines .
