I know subwoofer boxes are pretty popular. I even saw someone do a custom storage compartment. Unless your a small human riding passenger back there is gonna suck.

What has everyone done? Post pics!

I'm still looking for a way to use the empty spaces where the jump seats were. I'm planning to convert the empty spaces into a couple, built-in coolers. Why stop at a restaurant and deal with everyone's unruly children when you can enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes with eating in the truck?

just a small storage box like you mentioned. no sub yet, but it is in the plans!

the jump seats have been useful, but very rearely. i shove my brother back there sometimes haha.

heres my storage box i built. 3/4" MDF. has two compartments inside.
simple, effective, works. eventually im going to paint it black.

Kinda wish my Sport had the extra doors - kinda. Any suggestions for that wasted space behind the seats for those of us without those handy doors?

That's good-looking, Taylor. Is it custom made? Wish I could fit something like that behind my seats. More difficult without those handy extra doors. Difficult to get it into the truck, and very difficult to access it after it's in there.

I work 12-hour shifts in a chemical lab, and read a lot between samples. I carry a small messenger bag with my Nook and magazines. I don't want to put it on the new leather, I don't wanna put it on the floor either, so I finagle it between the seats and into that huge space behind me. Contortions you wouldn't believe when I reach back there for the bag that has moved around in transit. (I drive the truck kinda like I drove the Miata - it's Sport, right!?). I guess I want a storage box made to fit the floor, with carpeted top/tray maybe six inches below the back glass.

Ps. I forgot to mention that my truck is a 2011 with very few miles, and the seat adjustments are very stiff, and I don't really want to touch them when I've got the seat just right.

Yes sir its custom made. I purchased it from another member here on RF a while back.

A storage box on each side, and a spot in the middle for any custom mounting that you want to do.

Is there a chance of seeing a pic of it open? I like the concept...Quite a bit.

I guess since this threads been bumped I'll post what I did to mine.

The sub boxes and amps have since been removed and I use the spots where the jump seats use to be for my oil and coolant bottles.

How did you mount all of the recovery and safety gear on the back wall? I want to do something very similar to this in my truck.

I cut a piece of plywood to fir back there and wrapped it with some black carpet I got at walmart. Then I screwed it to the metal trim piece under the back window. Then just used some wood screws to secure all the gear to the plywood.
