2002 ford ranger basic radio size?

I have just a basic am/fm factory radio and was going to upgrade to an 2 din 6.2 screen radio with the dimensions of 7.09 x 6.57 x 3.94. With an aftermarket audio install kit, that radio should fit right?
Thanks,
RogerLee

I always assumed radios were standard sizes. Either single or double din.

Either way I believe it will work

I just installed a Pioneer double din in my 97 Ranger. I did have to remove the lip on the top and bottom of the radio opening on the bezel. You can see pictures of my radio in the member introductions of the forums. I'm very happy with the fit and look of the double din radio in the Ranger dash. If I ever wanted to return to the stock radio to would still fit in the bezel and cover the area where I had to grind down the lip.
