Hey man it's all about what YOU like... I say go for it if you like that style! I went with the 06 up lights because I like them. If u get them, painting your flares black would bring it together nicely

I was actually going to plastidip my flares. I mean it's a great price for the lights too. 45 bucks for them. I think they'd go nice with my ranger

Most skip ugly/ricer aftermarket ones for cleeeeeean OE tails, like 2006+ tails. It all depends on your tastes and after all it is YOUR truck. The ones you pictured are one of the more attractive pairs of non-stock looking tails I've seen.

Heads up....I wouldn't Plasti-dip flares. Makes for a hell of a time to clean up to properly coat them down the road. Whether it be Krylon Fusion or SEM Trim Black or Bedliner-in-a-can. Plasti-Dip isn't the way to go there.

You've already got a thread talking about how to coat/refinish/bring life back into your exterior plastics like flares and bumpers. Let's not stray this taillight thread...

I got the LED version of ’03 Tails and changed the clear backup lights to directionals.

Of all aftermarket taillights, these are definitely my favorite.

I still consider buying these someday

If you like them then use them, just not for me.
I am not a fan of anything that diminishes the light output in the rear.
The OEM '06 tails are clear and look good but again I wanted something different so I got the full LED.

I had a little trouble with the Connectors and the mid 90's bed but if you get them for the correct year vehicle/bed then it shouldn't be a problem.
I do like the look.

First off go with what you like, I know when starting mods you want what other have and yes it works but keep your own ides too.

Go for the LED but remember there are other options.
Check out 99offroadranger’s taillight setup, ’06 tails with LED Bulbs, nice look too.

It’s your truck it should look your way.

Be very careful of the eBay altezza lights. I had a set once and they had pretty bad gaps and the reverse light plug would not go into the clear part of the housing so my reverse lights ended up being red. Make sure the guy offers returns in case they don't turn out quite right!

Don't get me wrong some of the sellers are great! I ended up sending them back and ordered a set of smoked 06 style LEDS to match my headlights and they are great! They are more but well worth it.

Superbright LEDS.com sells the bulbs and a few other people sell them. But I've had better luck with the aftermarket housings i got with the LEDS already in them. I just couldn't get the twist lock bulbs to spread the light correctly.
