Found an engine online from this company
1999 FORD RANGER Engine

Has anyone dealt with this company? Opinion on the deal? Putting this out there for some careful research...

 

Not familiar with these guys but have done quite a few motors and trans replacements over the years. I have dealt mostly with LKQ and The advance auto parts dealers spartan? i believe is the name. For that price you could walk out with a reman if you want used take a look at LKQ they are inspected low mileage usually and in good condition the fact that they are listing it as used with no reference to mileage makes me very leary. id do a little more research before committing to buy with them. Also the "free" freight shipping means you have to send it to a business most freight companies won't deliver to residential addresses without a hefty surcharge. LQK and advance you can pick up local and avoid that hassle.

 

I would be sending it to my mechanic. I am going to check out the other stores you mention.
