thinking of going with Autofab econo lift. having a hard time finding anyone with that or middle of road kit. just wanting to know if anyone has experience with these kits.

no i dont have 4K+ to get a Camburg, Giant, Blitz, H&M. with fox coilover bypass shocks and bumpstop, with 4 link (best i could find)

this is mainly for light duty use till i fully pull the truck apart way down the road and do a V8 swap and dont need the bed.

 

Have you looked in to threat motorsports or btf fabrication? Threat is a very good economy level beam builder, your money will go far with his products.

But if you're going to tear the truck apart anyways to build it more, I would save my money. My old truck went from stock, to a 5.5 kit, to a mid travel kit, and I bought a long travel kit but never installed it. Should have just done LT from the get go since that is what I wanted all along, instead of spending all that money on other kits.

 

Threat looks good! ive come to the realization that i just need to get a car and turn my truck in to a OHV and use a car as my daily.

 

I'm in the same boat as you. But to be honest you should really do your best to keep it street legal IMO. A lot of places near San Diego (ocotillo, plaster city, superstition) have areas and trails that require plates. And if you're ever out and need to hop on the highway due to a problem, to get gas, or whatever, you can.

now thinking if this KIT is truly bolt on i could do it at home with a bud of mine. dunno about it thought cuz usually dont see bolt on long travel kits...

 

on beam trucks, it's a loooooooot easier to bolt on front suspension than on the a-arm trucks. maybe drill some new holes on the frame for the radius arm mounts, and i know the engine cage for the coilovers can be bolt on.

i totally forgot about KelFab. the whole rear suspension on my truck is off the brown truck in the top 4 pics on the products page.

 

oh nice so you have used it before!? i think that might be the winner then since its "bolt on" and engine cage would def help.
