Shocks recommendation for 1993 Ford Ranger

My Ranger front bounds up and down too much over large bumps. I replaced the front shocks about two years ago (15,000 miles ago) with Monroe Sensa-Tracs. They are otherwise satisfactory. The Sensa-Tracs replaced cheaper Monroe-Matics, which I returned for exchange after a few days of use (they bounced even more).

I've read on this forum and others recommendations for brands such as Bilstein, Ranchos, Procomp, and Monroe. I am considering the Bilstein 4600s.

Opinions, recommendations?

Get the Bilstein's and you will be glad you did. It offers improved handling and better ride.

I have 4 Bilstein's laying on the floor waiting to be put on the truck. The shocks that are on it are shot so regardless of what I put in it's going to be a big difference, but I'll let you know what I think of them

I've been driving on the Bilsteins for a couple of days now. I won't say it was night and day, more like an old truck with new shocks, but they helped a lot. Things don't rattle as much now. Handling is better. Not so much like a boat. We'll see how they hold up.
