I'm in the process of installing the superlift on my truck ( 2002 ) and I have some questions regarding the knuckles. The stock knuckle has some kind of metal seal in it that doesn't really seem to do anything. Do I need to swap this over to the superlift knuckle or will I be fine without it?
It also says something about another seal for the CV's but when I took mine off there was no other seal??

there is a rubber seal on the back side of some knuckles, typically seen 98-01. my 01 had them my 03 does not. they were part of the PVH system I beleive for the older trucks ant not 100% necessary.

 

My 2001 has the seals but the knuckles aren't drilled and tapped for the vacuum system. It was originally a dust seal and can still be bought from Ford I believe. I've found them online before. I plan on running my Superlift without them.

 

I figured it was for the vacuum system so I left them out. Thanks for the replies
