We need to get some bigger meets going! Post where you are/ how far you're willing to travel and lets see what we can come up with.

I'm not saying that I want everybody to come to Florida, that would be selfish. I haven't seen a site wide meet thread in forever. I'd like to see a little more interaction than what we currently have. I know there are occasional regional meets, but I wanted to kinda compile a list of where would be best overall.

Oh I was just being a smart ***.. being in So-cal the best I could probably do is mid-Cali or Vegas or something. Nor-Cal would be pushing it.

Ya never know with some people, but some might have seriously thought that. Its more too see who's active and willing enough to meet up. I wish there were more people in Florida, but there's maybe 3-4 active members other than me. Without too much planning I'd be willing to probably go to Louisiana, Alabama, or Georgia, anything farther would take a little more planning/gas money and time off from work.

I'd go further if I could trust my truck. Farthest trip I've taken in my truck is about 60 miles away.

The farthest I've taken my truck was the Silver Lake sand dunes in Michigan. I'd be willing to do that again post SAS.

I'm not sure how far I'd really go, the only way I could justify a long trip is to combine it with other activities that my wife would enjoy

I'd be willing to go to Silver Lake with enough notice and if it was a big meet. Other than that I'd prefer to stay south. Probably no further north than Tennessee, and no further west than Texas.

If its big enough and I could persuade my girlfriend to let me go or come with and I'd be up to Silver Lake. Probably get stuck a bunch though, but still have fun. 20+hrs of driving is a lot to swallow.

Oh suck it up I did 19 straight on my way home. Watched the sun rise in Michigan, set somewhere on the way back and rise again as I pulled into my driveway lol. 3.0 did work and so did the coffee and redbull

It would be kinda fun to see the country. Seeing orange/palm trees all the time gets old

Some people might think you're being sarcastic, but I totally get it. It all looks the same here. I did a little wheeling up in Joshua Tree a while back, that was pretty fun.. there are some long trails out there. I didn't do anything too serious though because I was the only one out there and didn't have any recovery gear or tools. I'll try to remember to post some pictures up when I get home.

I love getting out in the open country down here, but most of the time I'm out in it, I'm working and can't really enjoy it much

Same here. Nowhere to ride here unless you want to go to the mud bogs. I prefer to not break everything I just spent a ton of money on to build.

Definitely better than breaking stuff. Although there is potential for damage.. lots of sharp, large and odd shaped rocks, can get stuck in deep sand in spots. But at least it's not mud that you have to wash off.. just a little spray gets the dust off. Would be fun to go out with more guys with more experience tho. Road trip to Cali?

We need to be somewhere more central than Cali so that it doesn't take a week for some guys to get there lol

I eventually plan to move out west to the great plains. That should be central enough.

If we can't get enough for a site-wide meet, we could always have regional ones. I'm down for anything.

The low regular membership and the fact we are all spread out is why no meets like SL or the like are happening. Silver lake isn't even a site thing anymore. There's only 2 memebr's that go that have rangers. Maybe next year only one.

Anyone is welcome to go to silver lake, we post here just because. the more the merrier and it is a great time contrary to what some might say. It's a yearly (sometimes semi yearly) trip that evolved into friends getting together.
