Well i put amsoil in my truck last time i changed it and i put on a k&n oil filter. Im coming up on 3000 miles and i know the oil is supposed to go for a long time(how long?), but what am i supposed to do about the filter...is it ok or how long should i wait to change it?

 

which grade of amsoild id you use? you should be good for at least another 3000 miles with your combination

 

3K miles...i use fram filter..and dunno what kind of oil i do it at my friends shop so what ever he uses lol

 

so i should just change the filter and just add a quart or sumthin?

 

im not sure of the grade but the bottle was red.

a K&N filter will last about 7500 miles at least

i would leave it alone, change both at 7500 miles to be safe

 

ok...i just dont want to lock my mess up.....especially being that its a 2000...couple years old.

the lowest grade amsoil will last 7500 miles, and you have a good quality oil filter. you can take it to 7500 safely
