Suspension

Hello everyone, I recently bought a 2000 Ford Ranger and started to notice that something was wrong. I walked up behind it and noticed that it doesn't sit level on a flat surface. It's higher on one side than the other, and I don't know what the problem could be? I use this for my hunting guide service, and need to get this fixed asap. Could someone please tell me what they think might be the problem? This way I could buy the necessary parts and save on labor.

could be anything from a full tank of gas weighing it down to a a bad shackle / hanger to worn and sagged torsion bars.

A picture would definitely help

I'm going to go with the frame being broken on one side.

But in all seriousness, pictures will definitely help.

I love this poll

How much will it cost? Cost? Or parts?

Cost: He's going to pay for everything, but won't get any parts

Parts: He's going to get a huge box of parts (some of which may be irrelevant to his needs or not fit his vehicle) but it won't cost anything

Im voting Parts

2000 Ford Ranger Torsion Bar Suspension

I have a 2000 ford ranger xlt 4.0 torsion bar suspension. the truck is very bumpy and can feel every bump and road deffect. I replaced all the struts , new ***** joints and control arms. I got new Jeep Wrangler duratrak all terian but still bumpy and stiff! Any solutions? The previous owners son had the truck and was a bit rough with it and I think cranked the torsion bar for lift. Can't figure out how to get a better ride quality

Swap out the front end links and swaybar bushings. Those have a significant impact. Do note that when you do, you may have a shake in the wheel when you go over bumps. If this is the case, don't freak, it goes away within a few days as the rubber seats in.

If the T-bars are cranked, I would un-crank them.
