Howdy,

I rear ended someone this week in my '99 Ranger.. the insurance company totaled it but the settlement was great and I bought the truck back from them. (still came out more than $3000 over what I bought it for in October!) There is minor front end damage and the power steering cooler is leaking, so my question.. has anybody replace the airbags in their ranger? It is going to cost $2000 to do so I am still trying to decide. Truck was in great shape, 3' lift w/ good tires etc.. and the other damage is minor enough to fix in a weekend so it seems worth it but looking for past experiences with this. I don't want my son driving and having airbag problems!

The actual airbags are replaceable... but you might have to get new sensors?

Ok, I've been reading up on this and it seems pretty simple and a lot cheaper than I thought.
