Icon5 Looking for some recommendations

Hi all,

I have a 2011 Ranger XLT. It has the 4.0 and 4x4 with a 5 spd.

I'd like to add a couple of things to it... first and foremost, a brush guard and a roll bar. I want to add lights and a winch onto the brush guard in the future. I'm not really sure what brand to look into for a brush guard or a roll bar because I want to have a really high quality piece rather than some flimsy job that will break when I need it most. Cost is not a huge issue, if it's expensive then I will just be saving up for longer. For the roll bar, I would like to explore getting a functional roll bar that is attached to the frame, but I would settle for an aesthetic one.

I would also like to add a tonneau cover in the future - does anyone know of a cover that accommodates - or a way to accommodate - a roll bar?

Thanks,

James

On the lights, I run Rigid on mine, cost a little more but man are they nice, twice the lumens of other lights the same size, about to put a 30 inch light bar on the roof.

By roll bar do you mean the headache type roll bar?

Also, are you set on a roll bar? You can get a high quality front bumper that has a winch mount in it. C4x4 makes some REALLY good ones. A couple members have them on here. Here's a linkC4x4
FYI, I am not associated with them at all.

If you are going to be running aux lights and a winch you're going to want to upgrade your alternator.

Nobody is going to make a tonneau cover that will handle a roll bar if it is the type I are thinking about. You are going to have to do something custom.

Not set on a roll bar, but I am fairly set on retaining the stock bumper... That's where I'd like to just attach a winch to a brush guard. Any suggestions on a good alternator?

I'm thinking this style of roll bar:

IDK for sure, but I wouldn't attach a winch to a brush guard. It wouldn't be able to handle the stress of even a small job IMO.
